Dr Poo: Episode Guide

The following transcripts come from the off-air recordings of Phil Coy, who started taping the show in mid-1980. He recalls a few earlier stories, including the storyline with Captain Nemos (Knees Ahoy!), and an episode where the Doctor handed the TURDIS on the Duck Side of the Moon. When he opened the door a whole flock of ducks flew into the TURDIS and the song ‘Walking on the Moon’ by the Police started playing, to which Poo yelled “Oh no it’s the police!” Phil doesn’t remember why the police were after him, nor how long he was on the run, but eventually he ended up being captured and tried by the Intergalactic Time and Space Tribunal.

The first surviving recording of this story begins with an episode where Dr Poo is inexplicably about to be hung in place of Bernie Smith…

Universal Administration – Episode x1

The Doctor has been found guilty by the Intergalactic Time and Space Tribunal and condemned to be hung by the neck until uncomfortable.

DANA: Isn’t this fun, Doctor, just like the football.
POO: Dana, they’re going to hang me.
DANA: Oh well then, you’ll get the best view of everything.

TERRY: Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the main hanging of the day. Our hangee is that well known time and space traveller Bernie Smith.
POO: I’m not Bernie Smith, I’m Dr Poo.
TERRY: Oh they won’t notice. Oh look be a sport… fill in for him eh, he’s probably just held up in the traffic or something.
POO: But I don’t want to be hung.
TERRY: No, it’s not like it was. When I was a youngster everyone was breaking their necks to get hung.
