Series Nine and Ten are unlike those listed in the sections covering Eccleston, Tennant and Smith, in that they were released simultaneously with the original DVD and BD releases of these seasons. Series Eight was released as part of the ongoing range of re-releases.

Release History
Series Nine included the Christmas specials Last Christmas and The Husbands of River Song. Series Ten included The Return of Doctor Mysterio, but not Twice Upon a Time (which, to this day, has not been released in a season box set, only as part of the US exclusive Complete Peter Capaldi Years).
Series Eight
- Sep 2014: Deep Breath standalone DVD and BD with some bonuses: a cinema intro, behind the scenes feature and Doctor Who Live: The Next Doctor. The US version featured a unique extra bonus, The Real History of Science Fiction: Time.
- Nov 2014: Series 8 complete box set released on DVD and BD; of the bonuses on Deep Breath, only the behind the scenes feature carried over.
Series Nine
- Jan 2015: Last Christmas vanilla release on DVD and BD.
- Nov 2015: Series 9, Part 1, containing 6 episodes and 3x ‘Doctor Who Extra’ features released on DVD and BD.

- Sep 2015: US RELEASE of an omnibus 104:55 version of Dark Water/Death in Heaven converted to 3D, with two bonuses (The Doctor’s Medidation, 6:39, which also appeared on the Series 9 set, and a 42:12 interview with Capaldi and Coleman conducted by Wil Wheaton which appeared on the Series 9 set in a slightly diferent format). The 3D Blu-ray was also playable on standard Blu-Ray players, and the set included a DVD copy of the same content.
- Feb 2018: US RELEASE of The Complete Peter Capaldi Years, BD set with an exclusive extra disc containing The Fires of Pompeii, Series 8 deleted scenes, 2017 San Diego Comic Con panel, The Finale Concert and The End of an Era. The panel and, and End of an Era, were on the Twice Upon a Time standalone release.
The Twice Upon a Time UHD was slowed from its native 1080p25 to 2160p24, and pitch-corrected.
Disc Layout
Series Nine came with a booklet of production facts, but no disc contents sheet, although the discs themselves had the episode titles printed on them. Series Ten had no internal paperwork, and nothing printed on the discs indicating any of the content. Series Eight, released later, came with a single sheet detailing the contents.
