DVD
Series One, Part One (2 discs, episodes 1-5) was due for release in November 2006… however shortly before the series began it was postponed until Boxing Day.

Special Features include:
– Welcome to Torchwood (introduction featurette, including launch party footage) (13’29”)
– Torchwood on the Scene (readthrough footage and filming episode one) (15’41”)

– Deleted Scenes (11’05”)
– Ghost Machine featurette (5’16”)

– Fairies featurette (5’14”)

Note that all the featurettes are put together by the Declassified team and make use of the same recording sessions that are used in the Declassifeds and across the official site, but there is little to no overlap in the footage used.

Volume 2 was released on 26th Feb 2007 and Volume 3 on 26th March, with similar featurettes and bonuses.

On Nov 19th 2007 (UK) and Jan 22nd 2008 (US), a full season one box set was released by 2entertain and Warner Home Video respectively. This seven disc set contained all the previous bonuses, plus commentaries and the complete Declassifieds.

On June 30th 2008 (UK) and September 16th 2008 (US) the season two set was released by 2|entertain and Warner Home Video respectively. There are no individual releases as there had been the previous year.

On the same day as the season two DVD sets, 2|entertain and Warner Home Video also issued hi-definition sets of the first season. In the US this was purely in the dominant Blu-Ray format. In the UK 2|entertain were rumoured to be releasing both Blu-Ray and HD-DVD versions, although it now appears the HD-DVD version may not be issued.
