14th March 1970 - The Ambassadors of Death Trailer

B/W film of the trailer married up with a fan recording of the audio, which includes a continuity announcement played in live at the time.

This featured on the VHS release of Ambassadors, without the fan audio (and as such sans continuity) and with added captions explaining the altering colour throughout.

25th October 1971 - Blue Peter

In show# 887, Valerie Singleton and John Noakes hand over to Peter Purves, who admits to having been in Doctor Who six years ago, although with a shorter haircut. The story he remembers most was the 12-part The Devil's Planet - a clip is shown from The Daleks' Master Plan to demonstrate.

Three Daleks appear in the studio (including the Gold Dalek from Day of the Daleks), and Purves talks about their lasting appeal. The three presenters then settle down to watch the Daleks dancing around to the Blue Peter theme.

As part of BBC2's 50th anniversary celebrations, Looking In took a behind the scenes look at Carnival of Monsters, filming a camera rehearsal of a scene from the first episode.

This appeared on the DVD release of Carnival of Monsters, and also in part on the 1994 video More Than Thirty Years in the TARDIS.

7th June 1973 - Blue Peter

With the help of John Scott Martin and Michael Wisher operating and voicing a Dalek, the Blue Peter team issue an appeal to anyone who may have information on a stolen Dalek.

A clip is used in a documentary on Genesis of the Daleks.

November 1973 - Radio Times Tenth Anniversay Special Announcement

A brief announcement made after the end of an episode advertising the Radio Times special.

Now exists as audio only, and as a fan reconstruction.

5th November 1973 - Blue Peter

Jon Pertwee and the Whomobile on show #1052, along with clips from the first three Doctors. Pertwee shows off to Peter Purves about its roadworthiness and its uniqueness, the lights, the luggage rack and the fuel consumption. Inside we see a television screen, the onboard computer and the cassette player. Jon doesn't seem certain what's fantasy and what's reality.

Purves them has a retrospective on the series as part of the tenth anniversary and shows clips of 100,000BC, The Daleks' Master Plan (with Steven Taylor), The Tenth Planet (the regeneration sequence), Fury From the Deep, The War Games, The Mind Robber and photos the designs of the early Blue Peter Design-a-Monster competition. Finally we see clips of The Chase, The War Games (again) and The Three Doctors.

This appeared on the DVD release of The Three Doctors and the script to the retrospective would be partially reworked in 1980 and 1981. Clips also appear in Thirty Years in the TARDIS.

December 1973 - Radio Times Trail

21st December 1973 - Pebble Mill at One

Bernard Wilkie and Patrick Troughton appear on the daytime TV programme.

Wilkie shows off some of his past creations, including a Sea Devil, and symapthises with the artists inside the suits. A child talks about being scared of the characters, and Wilkie shows us a Draconion, the Three Doctors gel guards and more.

Later on in the show, Troughton is in studio and talks to Bob Langley about adding comedy to the role, his other roles before and after Doctor Who and about being cast as villains.

Wilkie is then back to show some fake glasses being smashed and other trick props.

Due to a BBC strike, Blue Peter is broadcast from the set of Robot for show #1107. Anyone wanting a lovely image of John Noakes' bum burned into their mind for three weeks should check this one...

The intro to this, 1'08", appeared on the DVD release of The Talons of Weng-Chiang, along with this, this and this.  A longer version appeared on the Robot DVD and a short clip also appeared, cropped, on the 9th June 2007 edition of Doctor Who Confidential.

24th May 1974 - The Sea Devils Repeat Trailer

November 1974 - Tom Baker Interview

An interview with Tom Baker shot while filming at Wookey Hole for Revenge of The Cybermen, broadcast before Robot. Baker talks about the danger of shooting the series, the changing face of Doctor Who, the role changing his life, what he does in his private life and scaring children.

This appeared on the DVD release of The Ark in Space.
