This story is probably the most inconsistent in terms of the different lengths - we have no explanation for this! It should be noted that the VHS clocked in at 98'09", some 16 seconds longer than even the DVD.

Cover by Dan Budden, Sleeve Text by Moray Laing. The cover was universally derided, along with Budden's art for Arc of Infinity, primarily as a result of the very poor cutting out in the final version. Sadly, technical errors (possibly outside Budden's remit) also plagued this disc, as the legend "The PETER DAVISON Years 1982-94" became "The PETER DAVISON Years 1981-84" in error, and the font in the back cover text briefly changed from the usual Gill Sans into the Futana usually reserved for the title.

Fortunately, most of this was covered up in the UK and Australian releases, which were contained within a red outer slipcase entitled "Time-Flight / Arc of Infinity" (retitled from the original "Tegan Tales").

Restoration Notess

Produced (alongside Arc of Infinity) from the 2" studio videotape (via the D3 digital VT copy) and the 16mm location film, with video effects work recreated where necessary. One of the effects shots in Part Four did not exist on the film inserts as it was simply a digital zoom into a piece of previously used footage. This too was recreated.
